Throughout most of 2020, doctors and nurses worked tirelessly to care for us all. At The Excellence Collection, we knew some of those doctors and nurses were right here within our guest community, and we wanted to give back to them, the best way we knew how: with a high end Caribbean vacation filled with Infinite Excellence.
For this reason, in 2020 we have away 50 vacation experiences as our very own “Care Packages” to care for those of our guests who had been caring for the rest of us… allowing these healthcare workers a way to escape, recover, and unwind once the world returned to a calmer state of being.
What we offered
The Excellence Collection gave away 50 Care Packages to doctors and nurses within our own community of guests. Each Care Package included:
- A 4-night stay at The Excellence Collection property of their choice
- During their stay, a Excellence Club or Finest Club category suite
- 1 complimentary spa treatment of their choice, per adult per stay
- Complimentary round trip ground transportation from the airport to the hotel
We received thousands of emails from frontline healthcare professionals all over the world, including guests who had stayed with us before, and frontline healthcare workers that our guests nominated. It touched our hearts to read their stories of caring for their patients under the most difficult circumstances and often with great personal sacrifice. Our list of 50 winners included nurses, doctors, EMTs, firefighters, and other frontline workers during the Covid-19 crisis. It is our hope that their free vacations at The Excellence Collection hotels and resorts will help them to recover, relax, and feel rewarded after such a difficult time for them and their families.
Since we received so many wonderful submissions, The Excellence Collection realized that 50 free vacations was not enough to fully recognize our impressive community. Every frontline hero who sent us a complete application received a prize of an additional 20% off our published rates for a 2020 vacation, along with a guaranteed suite category upgrade. Our goal was to make it easier for these thousands of applicants to enjoy a well-deserved rest at any of our Caribbean hotels and resorts.
And of course, it was our great pleasure to welcome the 50 winners to our properties during late 2020 and throughout 2021! We have loved seeing them share their vacation experiences and have an extra piece of well-deserved joy.
