The Excellence Collection Announces Temporary Closing of All Its Hotels
In light of the global emergency caused by the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and heightened travel advisories in North America, Europe, and the UK, we join other hotel brands, airlines, and travel industry professionals in the need to make difficult but responsible business decisions. We appreciate that countries and travelers are taking precautions, and like you, we hope for a speedy end to this difficult time.
With this in mind, The Excellence Collection will be temporarily closing all of its properties over the next several days. This includes our hotels and resorts in Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic.

- Beloved Playa Mujeres: March 20 – June 5, 2020
- Excellence Punta Cana: March 20 – June 5, 2020
- Excellence El Carmen: March 20 – June 5, 2020
- Finest Playa Mujeres: March 23 – April 30, 2020
- Excellence Playa Mujeres: March 23 – April 30, 2020
- Excellence Riviera Cancun: March 23 – April 30, 2020
- Excellence Oyster Bay: March 23 – April 30, 2020
If you have a booking at any of our hotels during its respective closing dates, your reservation will need to be postponed. The Excellence Collection encourages our guests to continue supporting all of our three brands by rescheduling their stay to later in the year; as you may know, The Excellence Collection has a more flexible reservation policy at the moment, honoring your existing rate when you reschedule by December 22, 2020. To reschedule or make any changes to your current reservation, we have the following resources available to you:
- If you booked your suite-only reservation directly with us, you can call us at the numbers listed on The Excellence Collection contact page.
- If you booked a suite + flight package with us and you are traveling within the next 7 days, please call +1-417-520-5694
- If you booked a suite + flight package with us and you are traveling after 7 days, please visit this service portal.
- If you booked through a travel agent, a tour operator, or a third-party website, please contact them directly.
- With our current flexible rescheduling policy, guests can reschedule their stay through December 22, 2020 at the property where their existing reservation was made (honoring their original rate) or any of our other properties.
We feel it is important to assure you that no cases of COVID-19 have been found in any of our properties, and of course we will remain vigilant and at the service of our guests in the following days.
Our dear guests have showered us with support and kind words throughout this difficult time, and we will miss you all for now… looking forward to the day when we will welcome you back home to The Excellence Collection.
